Trade in scam iPhone 7

I bought the iPhone 11 with Verizon and was given an estimated trade in value of $400 for my iPhone 7. Tonight, they tell me my phone is worth $60. My phone was in perfect condition. I searched the forums and apparently this is a scam they commonly run. Has anyone been able to return their new phone? And get the old one back? I’m still in the 14 day return window. I can’t believe they’ve just taken $340 from me! They won’t even tell me why my phone didn’t get the full value. I should have read these forums before and known to never trust their service. I would have gone to an Apple store for a trade in but wanted to stay home because of the virus. This on top of the fact that they promise a teacher discount but then won’t validate my employment to give it to me. I’m so disappointed in their company right now. This is what happens when telecoms have monopolies.

An iPhone 7 isn't worth $400. They're considered entry level phones to give away with new lines these days.
