This might be more in the realm of feedback rather than a question. I recently switched to the unlimited data plan. I am frustrated with the plan because there is a cap on data that can be used by each device. I have 2 devices - smart phone and mifi jetpack. I hardly use ANY data on my smart phone, but I do use my JetPack for my home computers. Here's the rub. Once I get to 10 GB of used data on the jetpack, I have to start tethering my phone otherwise I am relegated to 3G speed on my computers. However, the tethering doesn't seem to provide the same speeds as I was getting from my Jetpack. And, if I leave the house and take my phone with me, my husband is stuck with 3G speed on the computer.
It does NOT make sense to me that there is a limit on each device. I get having the overall limit of 22 GB of data and then being throttled down. It isn't truly unlimited, but I get it. But having the limit on each device is VERY inconvenient. And if, for instance, my phone isn't near my computer, then the signal degrades and performance suffers.
I previously had an 18 GB data plan and I tried to move back to it, but low and behold, it no longer exists.
Verizon, if you are out there monitoring any of this, please consider this feedback. Data is data. Please give me access to the 22 GB of data on whichever device I CHOOSE. Don't place these limitations on me. They are very unwelcome.
Linbri13 Thank you for providing us with your feedback. Without it we would never see changes. I will be sure to forward it to the appropriate individuals. However, I wanted to explain a misunderstanding about the 22GB. Once you reach that limit, you are not throttled. If you are on a congested network, you may see a slow down during that busy time. It can also be that you are not in a congested area and will not see a difference at all. We just want to be sure the record is clear on the data.
