Verizon is the worst ever! I called to make sure a payment would not be debited twice from my account, and financial services assured me that it would not be withdrawn twice...well, it happened anyway. Verizon not only took my money; they told me I wouldn't be getting it back AFTER they admitted that it wasn't my fault! I'll never advise Verizon to anyone, and I'm filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the CFPB! This is a UDAAP violation, and it's not right!

Why did they take a payment twice?  What's the rest of the story?  I have never had to call ahead to make sure they didn't take a payment twice so confused why this would happen.

If you used a credit card, file a chargeback and use any evidence you have like a chat transcript to show they're in the wrong. Two charges in one month wont be a hard one to contest anyway. Also consider filing complaints with the FTC and FCC, they have to respond to those within 30 days and from what I understand, management gets involved.
