My son and daughter bought IPhone 8 phones from Verizon at a Verizon Store in 2018 via a buy one and get one free promotion which required a setup of an additional dummy phone line for which we had to pay. Both IPhones were to get insurance that we paid for monthly. So the two insurance accounts were placed on my daughter's phone and the dummy line and we never knew until my son's phone died last weekend. Verizon's Insurance company, Asurion is refusing any responsibility, that the phone was never covered. So we are out of luck even though we paid them every month and no way to get back the money that has been spent all this time. This was purchased at a Verizon store and was incorrectly applied by a Verizon employee, but Verizon is refusing responsibility and will only offer a small amount off a similar phone.
