Why does Verizon act like they’re doing such a great thing for customers by eliminating the most realistic rewards in the VerizonUp program? In reality they’re ruining a good program and my best guess is because they were handing out too many gift cards and device dollars. They wanted to keep all that money, and they’re disguising it as giving users better rewards when the rewards offered now are no good and things you can’t really use often at all. The reward program was originally intended as a monthly reward system when you paid your bill and now the reward is percentages off on certain large purchases (which many people aren’t buying a new device every month). Major failure on Verizon’s part.
