What a nightmare of an evening. I was trying to help my elderly mother, she had bought a new phone from Verizon and I was trying to help her get her current number transferred over to her new phone. I was having issues and it was after hours so I used the chat feature. The Verizon website would ask if we needed to "extend our session" because we had been idle too long (and we weren't idle, we were typing in the chat), long story short the website kept kicking us out of active chats we were having with a rep, then we had to start all over. Even after choosing to "extend the session" we were still kicked out. We were kicked out of 3 chats just when we were making progress with our rep, it was infuriating. We finally had to give up because of this. Verizon please fix your website so that it doesn't kick customers out when they are using the chat feature, it's extremely frustrating! One time it happened as I was actively typing a response to the rep. It can take a little while to resolve issues in a chat session and we never got everything resolved because the website kicked us out every time.
