My first bill is yet to be due. I just noticed this "line access fee" that I've read is to be able to text and call. BUT my data package says that text and calls are included in that! Why is there this extra fee? I will be paying for the phones each month, and for the data package, what is this line access fee and is there a way to get rid of it?

"Line Access Fee" is simply a label. You pay that for each line on your plan.
You say the "Data" charge includes calling and texting. What the "Data" charge does not include is ANY lines on your plan. If it did, then you would have the SAME cost whether it was 1 line or 10 lines as it does not say HOW MANY lines it includes. Verizon is not going to charge you the same amount whether you have 1 line or 10 lines. EACH line will have its own charge. Verizon currently labels this the "Line Access Fee".
You pay an amount for the bucket of data you want(including calls & texts as you stated). THAT is the "Data" charge. You then pay an amount for EACH line you want the ability to "access" the data(including calls and texts). THAT is the "Line Access Fee".
The only way to get rid of the "Line Access Fee" is to cancel the line.
Hope this clears up any confusion.
I would be happy to explain the charge to you. If you have the Verizon plan, you can have up to 10 devices connected to the account. Each device has a line access charge. Most devices have a line access charge of $20.

But what is the charge for? The data package covers the data, messages and talk?
The line access charge is a charge that allows each specific line to access the share plan. This is what enables you to connect to the network and use all of those wonderful features.
