The key item to look at and notice here, is that it says NSA. As in National Security Agency.

Has anyone else noticed calls get dropped especially when talking about politics and things as such?

I blocked 5 phone numbers (SPAM) yesterday and today they disappeared. 

It's 1984 (the movie) people.
