Why is the billing due data changing to 3 days earlier? I need it to be after the first of the month! I get paid monthly. By moving the date earlier, all it does is give VZW the opportunity to charge a late fee. This does not sound like fair and reasonable business practices. What can I do to have this corrected?
As it is, I am continually chasing this bill.
This change guarantees that VZW will be able to add an additional $5 to every bill for no reason whatsoever.

To have this corrected, you can call CS and ask to have your bill cycle changed to 3 days later than it currently is so that you will have the same bill due date as it was before the change.
Thanks for the info.
Will do.

My due date has been the same for 6 and a half years. This was when I was a single line when I had 2 lines then 5 lines then 7 lines and now back down to a single line again.
I'm not sure what this has to do with Verizon informing customers they will be making due dates 3 days earlier than what they currently are?
To point out that Verizon doesn't randomly change due dates and that changes to the account do not change the due date. You're assigned a billing cycle date when you open your account and it stays the same unless you call and ask for it to be changed. I don't think that Verizon can just willy-nilly change due dates.

That's the point, Verizon has announced they are changing bill "due dates" ACROSS THE BOARD for all customers. Your bill cycle will remain the same, the date the bill is due to be paid is changing to 3 days earlier than it was previously.
For what it is worth, Verizon has stated they are doing this to "standardize" due dates for all customers. This means SOME customers won't have their due dates changed. I just looked at my current bill which is due in September and therefore would have been affected by the change but my due date is the same as it was previously which means I was already on the due date which Verizon is standardizing as the number of days after the bill closes before it is due.
I didn't get any email about this.
Nothing in the last 3 bills either.
