As only another customer like you, I cannot update any Verizon website.

Additionally, looking at the Verizon Plan faq which unlimited data is a part of, I found the following:

"What are the monthly access charges for smartphones, tablets and mobile hotspots on the Verizon Plan, and why are some of them different?

Monthly access charges for smartphones on The Verizon Plan differ based on:

  • If you're currently making monthly device payments or own the phone, the monthly access charge will be $20.

  • If you purchased the phone at a discounted price, the monthly access charge will remain at $40 until each device contract expires. Once each device contract expires, the monthly access charge automatically drops to $20.

  • Tablets and mobile hotspots are $10/month."

Lines with a $40 line access fee are currently under a 2 yr service contract for purchasing a discounted device. Once you complete your contract, it will automatically drop to $20/month.

Could you update this on the website please? The FAQ for the unlimited plan only states the $20 fee. I also called in to ask about this and some other issues, and was told it was 20/line.

So the website doesn't need to be updated. The information was already available. Smiley Happy

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Especially since for the most part, 2 yr service contracts are a thing of the past.

Bnorm34, we want to make sure that all of your billing concerns are addressed. Monthly line access charges for smartphones on the new Verizon Plan differ based on if you received a 2-year contract discount on the phone when you bought it.

If you purchased the phone at a discounted price and signed a 2-year contract, the monthly line access charge is $40.00 until the device contract expires.

All phones not on a 2-year contract (e.g., purchased through device payment, bought at full price, etc.) have a monthly line access charge of $20.00.

That is a total joke and rip!  A $15 increase just because a phone was purchased at a discount and is on a 2 year device agreement...terrible!  The rich get richer!
