I was just Talking to a Verizon rep. She said that the 5G on my grandfathered unlimited nationwide plan is slightly slower than the 5G ultra. And since I have a grandfathered unlimited nationwide plan I can’t ever access unlimited 5G ultra. Please let me know if this is correct. Thank you.
I can definitely clear everything up for you, jeenou! To clarify, all our plans include 5G service, at no additional cost. What can change your speeds is not your plan, but the location you're in. You can pick up 4G LTE service, 5G Nationwide service, or 5G Ultra Wideband service, which will dictate your speeds. This link shows you the difference between 5G Nationwide and 5G Ultra Wideband: http://spr.ly/6605zvSkF I hope that helps!
More likely it’s a phone limitation. The hardware on some early 5g phone is UWB, which is only deployed in about 1% of USA, in dense city areas. (Like my note 10+)
