Netflix can use 3 GB per hour. Unless you have Netflix set specifically to not be in HD it will stream in HD if your connection allows it. All you need is 6 Mbps for that. You didn't mention the movie, the streaming service or the device used to stream.
5.5 gigabytes in 2 hours is about 6 Gbps. Very possible with a movie. 1080p high res will stream at 9 Gbps or more -- or 8 gigabytes in 2 hours.
