I am currently in South Korea with my iPhone 6 that I have suspended the service in the U.S. as I will be out of country for 3 months.
I need to use my phone here, and I found out before I came to Korea that all Verizon iPhone 6 are not country locked so I was supposed to be able to pop in a Korean SIM Card and use it with no issue. However, it seems that it is still locked and I can't get network to work: under Settings - General - About - Network, it says 'Not Available' and when I click on it, it says 'Phone not allowed'.
I need my phone to work as soon as possible because I don't have a Wifi everywhere! Can a Verizon Agent help me with this and unlock my phone?

Verizon iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are unlocked. The message you are getting is not what you see with a locked phone anyway.
South Korea had a white list only IMEI policy, but I thought they changed it. This meant you had to register your IMEI for a price to use your phone. I thought they did away with this and now you can just insert your sim, but you should ask around.
Also South Korea is one of the few countries that uses CDMA technology too. That could also be causing problems. Under settings - Cellular - Roaming Try turning International CDMA to the opposite setting that is there now. Also make sure LTE is set to data only or even off as a trial.
Bottom line, your iPhone is unlocked, something else is going on.
I've only ever unlocked an iPhone on At&T and you can do it through their website and said it could take a few days for them to authorize it, your best bet is to call Verizon as I am not finding any sort of online form that can be filled out, but do expect to wait a couple days. You mentioned your service is only suspended, which should be helpful in unlocking it. You may need to qualify for unlocking, which usually just means you've had your phone for a certain number of days and the bill is paid up.
Fingers crossed someone else can provide a link in order for you to unlock via the internet...
