You guys(Verizon) bumped my due date back to the previous month. It went from the 3rd (of the current month) to the 30th of the previous month. Who in their right mind at Verizon is making these changes? Is it an algorithm? Most people don't get paid until the first, which is the case for me, and now you charge me a late fee of $5 for your ridiculous change. I have been with Verizon for a long time and have usually been on time paying my bill. Your service just keeps getting worse and now your messing with my bill. This is just terrible to me and another reason for me to leave once I am done paying for my phones.

All carriers shortened the number of days from end of bill cycle to due date.  Verizon used to be 30 days back when I had postpaid.  The went to 25.  Now it’s 22.

They are the last carrier to conform to a 3 week schedule

You can change your bill cycle to move the date to around first of the month.

Boy are you in for a surprise since this was a Telecom industry decision that Verizon prolonged.

Who would've known when most credible companies waived late fees due to this global pandemic and Verizon is still sucking people dry for a $5.00 late fee when everybody is unemployed due to government rules ! What a dirt butt company sucking the last dollar out of you!!

We hope you and your family are safe during these tough times, kgbone. I apologize for any confusion this has caused. We are waiving late fees and not suspending service through June 30th. Please refer to option #1 on this link under 'Important policy information and special offers' for details on filling out a hardship form. https://www.verizon.com/support/covid-19-faqs/
