not receiving messages from international numbers

I am able to send SMS messages to international numbers but am not able to get messages from them. Can confirm that other collegues in USA are able to get these messages. Any idea on where the issue could be and how to fix it?

We are concerned to hear that you are unable to receive text messages from international numbers. To confirm, for how long has this been going on? Have you tried to restart your device to see if the issue continues? DavidR_VZW

I has the need for this over the last few weeks. Tried restarting the phone, turned on roaming etc ... but nothing worked.

Thank you for confirming. When people try to text you, do you know if they get any error message or code? Are you able to receive, texts from other contacts?
