Just wondering why I cannot get as good as deal as a new customer would switching for verizon. The deal right now is 4 lines with 20g for $160. I am paying more than twice that for 5lines and only 16g. Just wondering what can be done or I am am going to switch.
The 4 lines with 20 GB for $160 is a little misleading.
Verizon has a plan right now for 12 GB for $80 and 4 lines x $20 line access fee for a total of $160.
THEN each of those lines can get 2 GB of bonus data IF they purchase a new phone on the payment plan. SO, yes they can get 4 lines with 20 GB for $160 BUT on top of that $160 there would be 4 phone payments. If the phone payments are $30 each, that bumps the TOTAL monthly bill up to $280/month. ADDITIONALLY, you could get the SAME deal IF you were eligible to purchase new phones on payments. You would get EVEN MORE as 5 lines with phones purchased on payments would give you 10 GB/month in bonus data for $180. Of course your phone payments would likely be in the range of $150/month, bringing your TOTAL monthly bill up to $330 which is STILL what you are paying with a $320+ bill/month.
IF you are paying $320+ per month for 5 lines with only 16 GB/month, it appears you are either ALSO making phone payments in your monthly bill OR you are paying the higher $40/month line access fee due to being in a 2 yr service contract on at least some of your lines. You are comparing apples to oranges. You can't simply pick out the GOOD portions of a deal out. To get a deal, you have to qualify and take ALL parts of that deal.
