two weeks ago i purchased a new iphone 11pro. I previously owned an iphone 10 hardley a year old and lost service while at home. i was also having bluetooth issues and hearing aid compatabilty with the 10. i was hoping my service at home would improve. but just the oposite occured. I had less signal while sitting in my living room and the back yard would show 1G or most often no service.
i contacted tech support after wqiting on hold for 43 minutes, I was finally connected. After going through the baisic reboot and wanting to reset my 1 day old phone I was transferred toanother tech. This guy seemed knowlegeable. After Serveral minutes of trying differnet solutions, the tech told me Verizon would be shipping me a range extender. the tech informed me the extender was on back order but was scheduled to ship on 9/30/19. He also assured me he would call me on 9/30/19 to confirm the order was shipped.
Today is 10/03 no extender and call back. so once again i waited on hold for 33 minutes and as soon as the call was picked up the call was disconnected. Most likely because i was excited to get through and i stood up and lost what little signal i had. i paid more for this phone than i did for macbook pro and needless to say I am not a happy camper.
so tonite i called again, and instead of the typical garbage "we are expierencing heavier than normal calls at this time". I get "tech support is closed'!!! i have been a customer with verizon since their begining. and this is what they call customer service!
so here I sit next to my cox wireless modem attempting to use my $1700 useless phone. Can you at least tell me how long i have to return this useless service? Clearly customer service is nothing more than F!!!! joke
No one forced you to purchase an overhyped brick from Apple. A poor modem and/or antenna is on Apple, not your carrier.
People working at an endlessly busy call center aren't going to stay past closing or work on a day off just to service you personally. This is less a ding against Verizon and more a reality check people on the other side are human and not bots.
The joke here is that janky phone. Verizon didn't make it, go call Apple and rant at them for selling a subpar device at a ridiculous cost.
Return window is 14 days. If you had it longer, the phone is yours. Only option at that point is do a warranty replacement or pay the phone off to get something different.
This is never the kind of customer service we want you to experience bruce625. I'm so sorry for the long hold times and for the service issues you've had with your previous phone and now new phone. A network extender is definitely an option for helping with those issues inside your home. We want to make sure you receive this accessory and that you have better service with that new phone.
Additionally, you have 14-days from the date of purchase to return a new phone for a full refund, minus the $50.00 restocking fee. We can take a look at your account and check the status of your order. I will be sending you a private message to get started with this process. You can also reach us on Facebook and Twitter @vzwsupport.
Hey glitchedpixel thanks for that most insightful response! Wow with all the great opinions you provided you must be the best!
FYI all mighty one, Verizon does have a major issue with cell service in my area. Yeah I know its my fault for living within 100 miles of the Mexican border. And as stupid as you think I am, I do understand it is not Verizon's fault that Mexico constructed a new cell service that is in conflict with Verizon. My concerns were/are poor cell service in my area and continous slow and nonresponsvie customer service. I am concerned with connecting to emergency services and suffer a sudden loss of signal at my home, again stupid me for not owning a landline.
Now smart one, you are so correct, no one held a gun to my head and forced me to "purchase overhyped brick from Apple", also no one forced me to be a loyal customer of verizon since their inception. Yet I am. Must be more of my stupidity shining through. Kinda like when I am finally able to speak with a "human" and I am promised a call back and a range extender, and I trusted the humans. Or when I call back on multible occasions only to hear the same ole song "call volume is higher than normal" every single time. At least now when I call a prerecorded message indicates "Verizon Technicians are working on it".
I did at least receive one promising reply in this media, but alas i was not able to provide a contact number since I have spotty service at home.
But thanks to your awesome response my problem was solved, no wait that is me just being stupid again your response did nothing to help other than provide me a bit of humor.
Keep up those great responses glitched, there must be someone out there intelligent enough to appreciate your great opinions!
