I received error 522 eastern standard time also this morning.. Oct 10... Vzw aware,, stated to unplug everything for 5 min and wait four hours or so until fixed... This was at 1pm I was told to wait a little while longer.
Having same problem, spent over an hour on phone trying to fix, stuck on 11a of 14. Apparently they have a system update that's not going through but only found that out on this site:(
