Cell signal problems

Is it just me or is it everyone,  my service keeps getting worse inside and outside of my house! I thought it was my phone but I purchased a s20 ultra yesterday and it is not any better it seems.  I switched to Verizon 4 or 5 years ago and it worked a lot better then,  a lot of times my phone will drop down to 1-2 bars and I won't be able to call out? Do they "Verizon" have or offer a good booster or do I need to find something like we boost!

Thanks for your patience this evening, Adamduffsr. We can certainly help look into the trouble with service around your home. How long has this trouble with service been going on?

I have the exact same issue. After years of great cell reception, I barely have 2 bars and I drop calls all day long. I was on the phone with Verizon for nearly 2 hrs and they promised to create a ticket to "resolve the issue" but admitted that if they conclude that it's not their fault (meaning there is no specific temporary glitch in their system) and the problem is that now for some reason, I have a "poor coverage" problem (maybe because they modified a tower near me to accommodate another tower a few miles away for instance), then they will recommend that I either purchase a signal booster for $250 or use Wifi calling.  The techs were trying to be nice but the bottom line is that Verizon will NOT do a thing to improve the cell signal reception.  It was a frustrating and disappointing experience.  Hope you have better luck!

It's not just you it's national.  I've actually spoken with a lawyer about filing a class action suit on behalf of all Verizon customers.  Their maps claim to have full 4gLTE coverage however that's a complete fraud.  Call them up and they say.4 g speeds are only 5mgb/second.  Wrong again.  After speaking with a Tier 2 technical support member they informed me that Verizon is reducing speeds on purpose.  This is to give the reason needed for them to force you to upgrade to a 5g phone and service.  Kinda like where apple was sued for built in obsolescence where phones were programed to get slower so you would have to buy a new phone every two years.  Verizon is doing the same thing only their slowing your service to get you to buy a 5g phone.  Watch the news soon.  A class action suit is coming

Check back for a class action suit about this.  Read my post below on why Verizon is reducing speeds on purpose.

Having service issues is never ideal, Wabarnwell, and I can assure you the only time you may notice a slow-down in data speed is if your data plan dictates it. Please note that 5 Mbps is within our 4G LTE speeds and we cannot guarantee service indoors. This is due to factors outside of our control such as building material, foliage, and congestion on a nearby tower. We understand that our 5G network is not nationwide yet and we would never change a feature to try and move customers to a feature that is not available in their area. We would love the opportunity to troubleshoot with you. What is the billing zip code and the nearest intersection of your trouble area? - GregL_VZW

Let me ask you something Greg.  What good is Verizon guaranteed 4g coverage if i can't use it... shopping....eating out...at work...visiting the bank...at the gym streaming music or any of the other 100000 reasons people need to use a phone INDOORS.  You can say whatever you want..your own T2 support line that  i recorded stated that Verizon is intentionally slowing speeds. I have a spreadsheet showing speed tests measured at the same location at the same time of day, and over 12 months it went from over 25mgb/second with 4 bars 4g LTE to now barely 1.5-2 mgb per second.  Explain that one?

I'm having the same issue but at work. Over the past couple of months the signal has gone from a minimum of 4 bars of 4G, to at best 1 bar now, oftentimes 1x or no service at all. I am using a 5G phone so, it is not that my phone is old and outdated. This is happening with everyone that I know that use Verizon. As we struggle to get a signal or to look up anything others that were Sprint customers, now T-Mobile load up page after page with no issues, stream YouTube TV or anything else they care to look at. What I would like to know is what happened with the signal? Verizon now claims "Nationwide 5G" which is not true. Their own postings state that you will see very little improvement over their 4G speeds and. At this point I would take very little improvement over the past 4G service because the current service is unusable and I question why I am still paying for two phones that can only be used in constantly reducing areas.
