@Fade44  If you're asking about a network extender's operation, it does NOT use a cell tower.  What it does do, is provide a local mini-cell tower for your home/location and communicates thru your internet connection to reach the Verizon cellular network.  It DOES have an antenna that has to connect to satellites for location services.

Which model extender do you have?  Is it not working for you?  What internet service do you have?

...Just another VZW customer...trying to offer some assistance...
