I recently bought a Samsung Network Extender on eBay.  Do I have to call Verizon to register it before I plug it in and use it?

Thanks!

As it turns out, Verizon does want it registered, and mine finally started working again (after the power had gone off) because (I found out by calling Mike at Verizon Cust. Service) it was registered under the previous owner... who lives who knows where??  Also, Mike had no idea how to transfer the registration, because he couldn't see the other guy's account w/o that guy's permission.

Dear Verizon: do you have a system for transferring the registration on these devices when they are sold on eBay??  If so, please tell Mike so this can stop happening!

Try to call again and request for a supervisor to trace its previous owner and then they will transfer the activation of the device under your name. Smiley Happy Here's a direct line for their activation team: 866-338-7390 that's the one I used before.
