Have you looked at the User Guide?
There are firewall settings that allow opening/forwarding ports. There also are logging options that could allow you to see what is happening to traffic on your LTE Network Extenders' IP address and if something is being blocked.
You might also try calling 888-262-1999 for some network extender tech support, the Verizon FIOS support center for router tech support or posting on the Verizon FIOS Forum https://forums.verizon.com

Marenpalmer, I'm sorry that you've been having trouble with getting your Network Extender set up. Now when first setting up the extender, the initial startup of the Network Extender takes 30-60 minutes. We do have a guide for setting up the extender here: https://www.verizon.com/support/knowledge-base-215974/
Where in that process are you running into trouble?

I have the same problem and was told likewise. I have spent over 4 hours on this. I am not a Verizon tech and resent being used as one while I am not paid and am being billed by Verizon for my cell phone service. It is offensive. Ever since Verizon started to discontinue 3G in my area in favor of all these little 5g mini towers or whatever they call them, my coverage has been a mess. Nothing but constant dropped calls in the middle of my business transactions. I was told to call my Internet provider to be sure my Internet cable firewall would recognize the Verizon extender and not block it. I verified that the firewall was fine. But the extender still didn't work. My Internet provider finally told me to reset the device and plug the ethernet cord directly into one of the ethernet ports on the back of the router. That is the only way it will work but then doesn't extend anything. This is a mess. I think I might be better off with another carrier. I have been a loyal Verizon customer for over 20 years but their service is now terrible. Apparently, all their 5G efforts are concentrated in the big cities and the rest of us are out of luck.
