I was told by Verizon that this extender will only work with their phone plans, is this true or would it work with any cell plan provider that uses the Verizon network?

Our Network Extender needs to be activated with a Verizon Wireless account. It will then create a miniature cell tower for Verizon Wireless devices to use. We aren't able to provide any guarantee it will work with non-Verizon Wireless devices.
