Why won't my device connect to my extender after an upgrade?

Since upgrading to Lollipop (5.0.1) I cannot connect my phone to the network extender.

Sorry you're having trouble connecting Note 4 to your network extender. I suggest you contact your Internet Service Provider to see if anything changed on their end. Samsung recommends you have an N Network connection. Then try to reconnect to extender again.

I updated the software on the extender and it is now working fine.
