Peace and quiet, until the dogs see a squirrel.

WE have had a wet, cool, bug free summer. The only snag now is the acorns. Most of those lovely trees are oak.
AS chicken little said, the sky is falling.

I've been on hiatus. Realized I was wasting too much time hanging out here and getting nothing done. All for what? To have people pushing my buttons constantly.

Play video games and tinker around with electronics and such. Been working out and trying to lose some weight. My diabetes has gotten worse and I'm on 5 insulin shots a day now.

Besides, you need to get something straight here: There is NOTHING more important that you need to be doing right now other than paying attention to all these helpless people on these forums and trying to save them...mostly from themselves. (sarcasm)

B, of course, you ever swing up CT way. You have to love dogs, I have 3 big mutts. Better not come in the snow months. Dang, I'm ready to go south!
I love the spring, summer and fall. But I'm sick of getting buried in snow!
This photo was 3 years ago, I moved last year. Yes, that is an empty mailbox post. The box was buried in the snow about 3 feet down.

O I know that is Yukky well some of its pretty till the lights go out or something worse then pretty get's pretty Darn serious.. I seen many upper New Yorker's on local news get Berried because of the snow storms + Lake effect storms that blow up from the Lakes.. The most we've had here in our Local area was about ft and half to 2 ft blowing snow will push some areas up to 3 Back in the Day when my Grandpa was alive and was in his younger years it would snow out in western KS enough his Brothers could Drive the Jeep over the Round Top and Barns the snow was packed so tight..
Around here another thing we have a more share than snow is Freezing Rain and or Sleet one Year we was out with light for over a Week at the end of the Time things were getting pretty hairy Luckily we had a stove and Water Heater that ran on Natural Gas had it not been for that we'd been in shelter or staying with some Family Members..

The Halloween storms in 2012 and 2013 put our power out for 9 days and 5 days respectively.
My boys and I camped out in our house, thanks to the wood stove and melting snow.
2 Years with no Halloween!
