YOU WOULD THINK THAT WITH ALL THE MONEY THAT VERIZON IS GOUGING FROM ITS CUSTOMERS, THEY COULD AT LEAST HAVE A DECENT FORUM.
I HAVE SEEN "LOGON FAILURE" "BOARD NOT FOUND" AND OTHER ERROR MESSAGES WHILE TRYING TO SIGN IN.
NOT TO MENTION THAT THIS SITE ISNT VERY COMPATIBLE WITH IE8 OR FIREFOX.
I HAD TO SWITCH TO GOOGLE CHROME JUST TO USE THIS SITE!
COME ON VERIZON. STEP IT UP.

The errors you have mentioned are specific to the browser or operator. And honestly, I have no issues using this on Opera, Firefox, Safari (on mac), Internet Explorer, AND google chrome.
Log in failures are 99% of the time syntax errors 🙂
It is case sensitive (wink)

Begging your pardon, but not all people are dimwits. It's not a syntax error, it's not a blown password, it may not necessarily be the website it's self. It's the interaction between the site and the database server that is (edit). And IE 6/7/8 blows. I use Firefox mostly with a fallback of Chrome.

LOL, WOW, IM STILL GETTING ERRORS. AMAZING. I JUST GOT A "ZIP CODE NOT FOUND" ERROR WHILE TRYING TO LOG IN TODAY.
DID THE DEVELOPERS OF THIS SITE TEST THIS SITE AT ALL? WHAT IS GOING ON? I NEVER SEEN A SITE IN THIS BAD OF SHAPE IN PRODUCTION.

As weird as it may sounds to you FireFox uses IE Security Zones.

I periodically have issues as well. Different error messages on Firefox (more technical .. one of those "problem usually caused by misconfiguration" things) and IE (less technical .. "can't reach this site").
Looks to me like access just occasionally goes down for a short time. I can usually get on to the site anywhere between 2 and 15 minutes later.
When it happens, just wait a bit .. and, if necessary, resort to texting from the phone (not as natural for me as my kids!)

The forums are currently experiencing "growing pains" due to the amount of traffic the addition of the Wireless boards has generated. There will be some "hiccups" until the site redesign is completely in place, but it's going to take a little longer, due to the fact that we have some great new features in the works that will be added.

Hey that means we're number one at something huh! Seriously though . . . rock throwing is always easy. However, constructing the house where the rocks are thrown AT is much more difficult task. I'm sure Verizon would appreciate any constructive thoughts and ideas for building a more helpful site. However, rock throwing is fun so if that's all one wants to do . . . well then toss away :). Meanwhile, some of us are trying to improve it and we'd love to have you help.

Why?? Verizon pays big money to its own db designers. If they can't figure out and fix the problem, neither can I. I just know that if I ran my network at work like verizon does theirs, I would be fired.

I don't know about this site (I'm glad it's here, so I can voice my frustration), but Verizon's customer service is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!

AGREED! I am pretty good on computers and this website is hard to navigate around. If you try calling you just get transfered to different people anyways. Waste of time!

If you don't like the service, fair enough.
But hate this forum? Why exactly? Software seems fine. People seem fine outside of a few who get angry at anyone stating that their service is not perfect.

This board is called feedback and suggestions, not feedback, suggestions and if you do not like something about us, be prepared to be attacked. In any case, here are my feedback and suggestions.
I have had problems logging into my billing account for 2 years. In the beginning I thought I was doing something wrong so I would attempt to log in over and over again, making sure every letter was correct and caps were off. I even signed up for another username and password and changed browsers but the same problem continued to exist.
Then I began to realize it was not me but the site I was attempting to access. Now whenever I experience a problem logging into my account, I wait and try again later. This usually works for me. I have many websites I log into and at times have made typos doing so. However, I have never had the problems with them that I have had with Verizon.
Also, after reading several posts in this forum, I find the grayish coloring of the typeface to be a strain on my eyes. Please use black as the default color. I usually change the typeface to black before typing. Sometimes the board will accept it when I post and sometimes it will tag it as an html error and change the typeface back to gray. If I change any of the settings, font, size and/or color, the board will attempt to revert back to the default settings while I am typing.
Well that is my 2 cents of feedback and suggestions and as I stated above, the board has changed the settings again.
Before I started typing I set the font at 3 pts. Now that I am adding an edit it now looks to be 3 pts.
