Thanks, you too!

I Will be spending part of it with a dog cowering under my skirts, shaking.  The rest of my weekend will be devoted to moving the rest of my 6 yards of mulch.  whoopie!

Good for her!  Use it or lose it.

I Do have a big yard, 3.5 acres.  I bought a smaller house last fall.  The previous owner let the front garden go to several kinds of ivy (including poison), ferns (which hide and nurture the poison ivy) and thorny blackberry (which will inject the afore mentioned poison ivy into your skin for an extra uncomfortable deep rash) and a mystery weed that is moving out into the yard also.  I transplanted most of the viable plants into areas I cleared today.  But I have almost emptied a bottle of caladryl treating the occasional spot of poison ivy rash.

It's war, but I swear I'm winning.  Lol!

What are you planning?  BBQ?  Fireworks?

LOL.  I could watch fireworks like that.  With volume lower, it wouldn't bother my chicken dog at all.

I don't mind fireworks much, but I do wish people would be more considerate of their neighbors when setting them off. In my apartment complex we have several elderly people that get very scared from the sound, especially because we live in a high crime area and there has been a rash of shootings lately. Plus my best friend in the apartment below mine is a Vietnam veteran with PTSD, and I am also a war veteran. Generally the fireworks don't bother us but our neighbor seems to have found some of the loudest fireworks I have ever heard in my life. My nerves are definitely on edge.

Last Knight in over in the City of Wichita a Young person he was 16 learned the bad lesson of handling a Mortar Type Firework the shell didn't go right off and the wind came up blew over and in the Direction of his friends and he went to move with his hand it went off severely injuring his hand they say he me loose part of it..

Fireworks of any kind needs to be respected in all ways..
