A longtime Verizon customer, I purchased a new iPhone 4s on February 16. I love it! However, around March 23, I noticed the main camera had stopped working, the "shutter" wouldn't open. Off to Verizon, where I was told it's a mechanical failure and would need to be replaced. The replacement arrived the next day, and, behold - it's stamped "Certified Like-New Replacement." A failure after only 5 weeks and I can't have a brand new phone? Called *611 and was told Verizon's policy is "like-new" unless you return a device within 14 days of purchase. Bottomline: I called Apple and I'll drive to a Charlotte Apple Store for my new phone - under Apple's 1-year warranty. New Verizon slogan: "Good phones, great coverage, OTHERWISE, WE REALLY SUCK."

No, I learned how Verizon has no true warranty. According to the AT&T web
site, they have a 60 day warranty.
