What was the forum like before lollipop?

I have to wonder, what were the complaints before the lollipop update? It seems like the primary complaints now are how the lollipop update ruined phones and caused premature male baldness and how there is a lack of coverage which may or may not be caused by the lollipop update. What did people inquire about before this lollipop fiasco?

As long as we're at it, eliminate Mosquitos and those little flies that go in my eyes, nose, etc and weeds.

lol.   I have really nothing to complain about, cell - wise, my service and phones all work as they should and this forum may be a compulsion, but not compulsory.

I consider myself a somewhat intelligent, college educated person and I still don't understand the Early Edge stuff. The website makes it clear as mud. LOL

Early Edge is not advertised so when a rep offers it out of the blue, they usually do so to appease a complaining customer and use the "You get a new phone" angle rather than the "You also have to turn in a perfectly working phone" angle.

Just try and find any information on early edge....   Real info, not just a passing mention.   It comes up in forums in detail, otherwise, not so much.

When I got the mailings for early edge offer it DID say "Trade in your current device" or something along those lines. Let me see if I still have the mailings.

I Came for the Avatars na just being funny..  I did like the Motion Avatars in Lithium I used the Waiving Flag as my Dad was a Veteran in Nam so using it made since but once we moved away from Lithium the motion Avatars went away.. would like to see them come back but not going to worry if they don't.

I like avatars and emoticons too. It helps convey personality and inflection that is lost in plain text communications. I'm thinking about adding an emoji app to my phone but there are a bazillion to choose from and I wouldn't know which is best.

By the way, I wish I could thank your father for his service to our country.

I have been a member here since January of 2014. I can't say that I haven't told others where to take their shenanigans (but that is reserved for the ones who ask questions and tell us that our responses are wrong). I admit that I will have a lot of posts under my name like this. When you consider my 22+ years in the customer service industry not getting the opportunity to tell people what I want to say in the manner I would like, this is sometimes therapeutic. You can tell a lot about the situation, whether it is truly VZW caused or customer caused, by the tone of the original post. The ones where people are scammed or duped by VZW yet admit to not reading their agreements before signing (or even within the first 14 days). The ones who want upgrades months in advance because their device is broken but did nothing to protect themselves initially. In general, people unwilling to take responsibility for their actions. These are the posts when I tend to unload. I want to help as much as the next person but I have no tolerance for people who just want what they want and think that the rules should not apply to them.

I used to work with selling and troubleshooting these devices and I also have experience with selling and understanding VZW services. I am not an employee of VZW and my thorough explanations and information has led others to accuse me of being a VZW employee.
