Apartment only allows Fios, few questions

Hello

I'm moving to an apartment that has a contract with Verizon Fios I believe. They gave a phone number (1-800-501-1172) to setup service as they say it's not possible to start service online at this building. I've called a few times but was on hold waiting for long durations of time each time I've called. I'm wondering if anyone happens to know if:

1. When doing a phone order for a situation like this, am I still able to do a "no credit check, but pay deposit" option over the phone?

2. Is it really impossible to start service online? Is that phone number truly the only option?

Call 1-800-VERIZON. Select #3 on the prompt for in home Fios.

In order to arrange new service, you will undergo a soft credit bureau check which will not impact your credit score.

If you reject credit check, you will pay $250 deposit which has its own terms and conditions in order to be refundable.

If you say yes to credit check, they will send you a text or email link to verify your identity like social security number and date of birth. Should there be any complication and you will be on credit hold, you will speak directly with  their internal credit bureau which may ask you supporting documentations.
