Device Return lost by verizon! Charged $500!

I paid $387 to do an early upgrade to the iPhone 14 and I returned my device with Verizon shipping labels. UPS tracking shows it was delivered and I received an email from Verizon saying the device is in shipment. But it doesn't seem like Verizon got my phone. So essentially Verizon lost my phone and is charging me for me!

I look at my bill to see a $500 charge! what a great way to start the new year...

Support and chat have not been helpful at all and transferred me to the wrong department just to hang up on me. Not getting anywhere with this issue. I returned my phone just to be down $500. 

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can do next?
