Someone called me stating there was an order of a new iPhone and they needed to verify address. Caller id appears as Verizon Wireless

Ingridher, while that is our Customer Care number, typically we'd not be calling to verify details of an order as we work on your account needs. We can do orders with you for sure, but usually you're already working with us and we've verified your account. If anything needs to be confirmed about an order, we send an email and there will be a notification on My Verizon when you sign-in as well. We prefer alerts that go straight to your device either through text, email, or a push notification via the app.
I'd recommend not respond to that call, but check out your account via My Verizon. If you notice anything out of the original let our Fraud Prevention Team know, they can be reached at 888-483-7200.
