Updating shipping address

I ordered two devices online and the Verizon agent was mistaking the shipping address. I have contacted customer service in three consecutive days asking them to update the address with FedEx, but the package has been held at their facility for three days and kept delaying the shipping date. I called FedEx today and they say the address was never updated. What a shame that it wasted me huge amount of time trying to fix the error made by Verizon and nothing changed.

Is the package at a FedEx facility, stuck in limbo because FedEx can't figure out how to properly deliver the package? If so, the shipping label can't be updated at this point. I'd contact FedEx with the tracking number and explain what's going on to see if you can pick up the package from the facility. Otherwise, FedEx is going to return the package to Verizon as "undeliverable".
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
