$200 Gift Card Not Valid

Hello,

I bought a gift card for $200. It is showing as invalid when I try to use it. I have phoned customer service, been transferred from person to person for well over an hour without resolution + spent several hours on chat and no one has been able to help.  I have also been in the store and they placed a ticket, saying it would be resolved by Friday but I have not been contacted again. I was told it had been escalated but have not been contacted at all.

This has been a time consuming and frustrating process. I would like this gift card to be activated or a full refund for $200.

Please escalate this to your leadership team, payments hub department or whoever can PROMPTLY resolve this issue.

Resolution Update: By partnering with support, we’ve got a follow-up set to ensure the refund issue is resolved. If someone else encounters issues with a refund or canceled order, there’s some items which can contribute to the situation. Waiting for the device to be returned to the warehouse. The processing time of the payment method. The refund has already been completed.

Might it be possible that card is a prepaid refill card?  I've seen what look like gift cards for Verizon in stores, but they will only work for paying your mobile bill on a prepaid line.  Or if the card says Visible by Verizon or Total by Verizon, those don't work on Verizon at all (Visible and Total are separate companies, albeit owned by Verizon).  I'd try to get a refund from the store, or contact Verizon on live chat - type "live agent" to get a real person - and give them the ticket number, asking for a status update.

I was promised a refund of $200 to my credit card after filing a case on June 5.  I was told the refund would be issued within five to ten business days.  I have not received the refund and today is June 25.  This is annoying, frustrating, and frankly, fraud.  I paid $200 for a gift card that I cannot use.  I want a prompt refund.  Who can help me?
