I switch to Verizon back in April, did all the process through online chat, switch five lines with the promise that I will get a $200 matter card gift card for each line that I was switching. The representative the handle the sale mention that there was nothing to do on our end in order to get the gift cards, and to expect the cards to arrive 2 to 3 billing cycles after opening the account. So far I have spent about 12 hours between chatting, requesting callbacks and talking to supervisors to resolve the issue. I had all types of answers from supervisors, from I can give you $500.00, we can give you a credit on your account, I promise I will call you back and never call back, etc. The last supervisor the handle my las call, let me know that everything was processed , and after a week from that call, I receive an email saying that I was approved for $1000 to be used on the Verizon wireless website to buy electronics, chargers or cases. From the agent that handle the sale to all the chat agent and supervisors, all were aware that it was important for me to get gift cards in order to pay a balance equipment from AT&T. I’m glad I safe the meta data from my initial chat conversation with the sales associate since I think I’m going to have to move forward with a formal complaint.

Same situation here. Verizon gift cards are useless to me
I needed the prepaid debit cards, to pay of balance from switching
Hours wasted. No resolution
