$200 Visa Gift Card

Was promised a $200 gift card to switch to Verizon. Never received the code. Now support is playing dumb. The incentive was a key factor is switching. After reading multiple message board posts, this seems to be a common tactic at Verizon. Caveat emptor

This is never the way we want you to feel, and we don't want you to miss out on this great deal. When did you make your purchase? Was the gift card for porting in your service?

Purchase made 8/4; whether the gift card was to port in, I don’t know. But I did port in 2 numbers when I switched

Hello, I am having the same issue and have called customer service multiple times with no resolution. 

I started home internet in Sept. and was told I would receive a Visa Gift Card as well as a $300 Samsung gift card, I received the email for the Samsung but never the Visa Gift card.  One customer service rep told me I would receive after November bill processed but I still have not received anything and now customer service is telling me they don't see anything on my account.  I am now starting to wonder if I should just cancel all of my services with Verizon, customer service is unacceptable.

I’m so frustrated I was promised $200 to switch to Verizon back in Oct 2024. it is now almost Feb 2025 and I still don’t have this gift card. I have called several times and keep getting the run around. Absolute worst.

So wish I would have NEVER switched back to Verizon. I was told I’d get a $300 visa gift card per phone when switching to Verizon on 11/29/24, Black Friday. I got two phones & 4 lines. I texted my sales person from the Verizon store on 11/30 and asked the rep how to redeem and he said that it takes 14 days to redeem. I called Verizon customer support on 12/9 and they said I had to wait for the Verizon email to show up. Called again 1/1/25 because I didn’t get any email. Was told it takes a while & to keep watching for it. Called again on 2/5 and they started a support ticket. Called again on 2/14 and was on the phone for over an hour. I have screen shots of texts and call logs.

I’m being told because this is now past the promotion period that I can’t redeem my two visa gift cards.

The rep finally offered me what she said is the only thing she can $10 off my bill cycle for 12 months.

Before her call, I had already opted for an offer of $10 off my plan per month (see screen shot). So I better be getting $20 off per month!

 I’ve read the countless posts  on your forums and it appears you have thousands of people who never get the promo’s as promised!

Same issue here redeemed card on 12/18/24. Customer service is playing dumb saying I should have received an email, even confirmed email, but still no gift card. Seems to be a lie! Wasted so many hours trying to get it resolved with no end it sight.

Beware! I’m on the same boat on you and have been lied to by these people. 

I was told by one of their supervisors I’d be receiving a 20% off discount on my bill due to the inconvenience regarding the same subject of the $200 visa gift card rebate. I haven’t received it and I’m a new customer since September 2024 and nothing. They haven’t found a solution and keep giving me the run around.

I am having the same issue. It has been weeks and weeks now with nothing. I keep checking my junk mail folder and there is nothing there either. When can I expect to receive. This is one of the main reasons I made the switch to Verizon.
