Activity log not correct

Will the usage/activity log eventually work with Google Messages? Since making the switch away from Messages+, the log is no longer accurate and not tracking incoming/outgoing texts. This is rather infuriating to those of us who monitor our children's activity. After 20+ years with VZW, I'd hate to need to find a carrier that tracks this.
