Apple One Cancellation

I left Verizon in May, and I am still continuing to receive AppleOne perks through Verizon. Apple told me there is nothing they can do to manage the subscription for me, and Verizon said there is nothing they can see or do on my end since my account is closed and I haven’t gotten a bill for several months.

I’m lost at what to do here because I want to change the service level of my Apple One subscription but no one on either side has been able to help me. I guess I’ll gladly continue to get free service from Verizon unless someone can help

Oh, no! Dealing with programming fees even after you have disconnected the service can be frustrating, especially if you are being bounce back and forth. Our goal is to provide the support you need.

If it was a truly free subscription then it's "no harm no foul", but I'd be worried if it's one of those things which is free for a limited time and then you start getting billed for a subscription.  Your perks were managed under your Verizon account and CS, not being the account owner, can't change them for you as only account owners or account managers have the rights to do so.  But when you left, your account access automatically gets revoked, so now your perks are stuck in limbo...

Verizon really needs to address this issue or at least give us some limited access to our accounts upon leaving to prevent problems such as this.  As for upgrading your Apple perks, the only thing I can think of is to create a new Apple ID and get the upgraded service(s) independently through the new Apple ID.

So truly there is no one with Verizon internally that would be able to fix it? I’ve probably spent about 3 hours on the phone with them and they are totally lost on what to do.
I don’t want to get in trouble for continuing it, but if I have no way of managing it then vzw needs to find a way to fix it. Sounds like poor management and IT and CRM infrastructure design. I’m not losing my purchases under an Apple ID I’ve had for 16 years  because of a Verizon design flaw.

I was not billed for any of this after I left Verizon. But I reported it in good faith to Verizon to indicate to them they are paying for inactive customers subscriptions when they are activated through VZW perks.

Yesterday, I received several emails months after porting that some subscriptions were cancelled that were previously associated with VZW and perks  5 months ago. This concern is now resolved on my end. I am not sure what was done from either parties end to resolve this. Based on the emails, it may have been Verizon. However,  I hope whatever information I provided helps future support endeavors. Cheers!
