My mother in law has dementia and does not remember her pin or other info necessary to cancel her account. My husband has taken her to the store and has been given the run-around a couple of times. Last time they were told that she needs to show her ID. She does not know where her license or passport is. She is being charged $90 per month for a phone she hasn't used in close to 2 years. Verizon seems to be making it extremely difficult to cancel. Please help.

Hello, Suecone. Help is here as we definitely want to make this as easy of a process as possible for you and your family. My apologies to hear of your experience but we can help. Do you or your husband have Power of Attorney for your mother-in-law? If no, we can get this set up for you. Here is what you need to do.
You can fax the info to 877-909-3445 for all documents and must include the customer's name, account number or phone number and the POA requestors contact number. Please let us know if this helps.
