I was able to logon to Verizon Fios up to this afternoon 8/28/2024. Today I got a wireless account and was advised to merge the Fios and wireless accts with one overall login. Worse thing I ever did. Now I cannot logon to Verizon. Numerous calls and many hours later I finally got someone who narrowed down the problem, but only after numerous wireless techs had me repeating the same things over and over again and getting nowhere fast, while all promising that they would surely solve the problem. One even had the audacity to do nothing, said he would escalate the issue to a higher level, and then proceeded to try to sell me a maintenance plan!!!!!! I finally got a service person at Verizon support who narrowed down the problem and then stayed on the phone while he connected me to yet another wireless technician who again claimed they could surely solve the problem. Then finally told me there were technical problems and she would text/call me back when they were solved. I will not hold my breath.
I can enter id and pwd ok but then get a notice that e-mail would be sent to verify. E-mail never arrives. The sensible service person asked the wireless tech to check to make sure they had my correct e-mail (they did) and also to check whether the many e-mails promised to verify were in the system (they were not). So there is clearly something very wrong with the logon verizon system once wireless is in the mix.
Also, note that I kept getting e-mails from Verizon Fios and Verizon wireless throughout the day, just no e-mail to help me verify the account. So Verizon can send me e-mails, just not e-mails to help me verify my account and so logon.
To make matters worse, after the last call, I immediately get an e-mail with subject heading "Important information regarding your resolved repair ticket" and it goes on at length .."we are glad that we were able to resolve your Verizon repair request..." and "we have closed your repair ticket" !!!! The e-mail is below. Note also the links so I can get more information, links I cannot use since I cannot logon.
Now I know sometimes a computer issue is complex and takes time to repair. I would have been happy with an e-mail that stated sorry unable to repair but we are working on the problem. This e-mail was just untrue. Not sure who is in charge of the wireless service folks but hopefully someone will read all these posts and try to do something.
Sorry for all who are having similar problems. At least some of you are able to connect. I had to register under a separate account in order to post here since I cannot logon to Verizon.
Let us hope that we get some truthful answers to the scale of the problem and the estimated time to repair the damage.
