Complete Disconnection No Warning

I transferred my service from one carrier to Verizon one - two weeks ago, ported over a number I've had for about 20 years. Today me services were suspended and the email says my services were cancelled at my request and the mobile was suspended due to a "device payment buyout sitting " and the promotion I can in on was removed. I have no idea who cancelled anything and why, I sure didn't. Now I'm sitting home unable to work, unable to do my homework with no phone service, no internet and no answers. I have been on with Verizon for the past 3 hours while they are trying to figure out what happened and why. I've been transferred, hung up on, moved to the wrong department and placed on hold for upwards of 45 minutes to an hour. An agent comes on speaking about paragraph a second and tells me Verizon is unable to validate my information and there is nothing they can do, WHAT????? I's this the all mighty Verizon? How can they do this to customers? How was it validated when you ran my credit 3 times when I initiated service? How did I get approved if there weren't able to validate my information? I'm so lost, hurt and P.O.'d right now. If I loose my number that I have had for 20 years I am going to be devastated for so many reasons and frustrated on so many levels.
