Fios VMS not reachable multiple times a day

We just got Verizon fios installed 6 weeks ago, Cable, landline and internet. Every day since the installation we get "VMS not reachable" on varies channels and at least 2 or 3 times a day.  If you do nothing it fixes itself within 10 minutes. But what is the deal, do we not have new equipment that needs to be updated multiple times a day?  Constant freezing or outages is ridiculous seeing the main TV and boxes are 3 feet from our modem.
