Gift card showing to be invalid

Howdy fellow Verizon people.  I ordered a $25 gift card that arrived quickly but when I go to redeem it or check the balance I am being told the card is invalid.  I've searched previous threads on this and it seems like this does happen from time to time.  I do not want to spend hours trying to get this rectified though so I am hoping a Verizon agent will reach out to me directly to get this fixed otherwise I will just call American Express and initiate a dispute / chargeback.

Anyone else have luck rectifying this issue?

Hi Geo,

I already tried calling customer support and was transferred to 4 different people, none of whom could help me.  On the last, "I need to transfer you ..." I just hung up.  I don't want to invest hours into fixing a $25 gift card when I can just dispute the transaction with Amex and they will deal with it for me.

TheSluce, I'm sorry you've been having trouble with the gift card. To confirm, the site you've been using to check the status/balance of the card is this one: https://www.verizon.com/od/products/gift-card-balance/#/

 

If not, could you please check the balance using this card, and share what you've found.

That is the site I used.  Card is still showing to be invalid.
