Can anyone help me with transferring my service to Straight Talk? I want to keep my number and my phone but I can't stay with Verizon.
I have already purchased a SIM card for Straight Talk, I just need a little help with the process.
Thank you!

1) Make sure your phone is paid off and whatever other contractual obligations you have with Verizon have been fulfilled. Otherwise, you're at risk for having your phone shut off later for nonpayment and/or your credit being ruined.
2) Make sure your phone is unlocked. Should be unlocked if you had the phone activated and used on the Verizon network for at least 60 days.
3) Look around in your My Verizon account for wherever it is they keep "request a transfer PIN" and get the system to generate you a transfer PIN. If you are a prepaid customer: This process doesn't work and you have to go to a Verizon store and ask one of the employees to give you a transfer PIN. Don't ask me why, but it is what it is.
4) Follow whatever Straight Talk's process is for porting your number in using the transfer PIN and then install the new SIM card and you should be good to go.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
