Issues Transferring line

I am attempting to transfer my line from a parent account to my own and keep getting the error that Verizon can't connect me to the server and to try again. I have been trying for hours and nothing. In the meantime, my phone no longer works. I can't get or make calls or send text so calling customer service like the chat keeps telling me to do is not helpful! very frustrated. What do I do?
