We have been appointed legal guardian for an older gentleman with dementia. He is no longer able to manage his account. How can we gain access to his account using the court documents we have?
The Verizon stores have not been able to help and the customer service line kept insisting he needed to be the one to make the change or be on the line to authorize this. They don't seem to have the information or understanding of how these situations are handled. There must be a process in place for instances when someone has been deemed mentally incompetent that doesn't require them to make a decision.
