Legitimate Verizon rep in our Brooklyn neighborhood 11226?

A man who introduces himself as "Chris" has been knocking on my neighbors and my doors on Dorchester Rd., Brooklyn;  he asks us to allow technicians access a telephone pole behind my house (not on my property) for Fios installation in a few months. 

He has a paper he wants us to sign with the Verizon logo at the top, and "Verizon - New York, Right-of-Way Department, 395 Flatbush Avenue Extension,  Brooklyn, NY 11201" but at the bottom, "Lourdes Industries, Inc. for Verizon New York, Inc., Right-of-Way / Engineering - Brooklyn & Manhattan." 

He gives his phone number as 718-986-4680. When my neighbor called and asked to speak to Chris, the person wanted to know who was calling and what he wanted. 

Let me know! My neighbor fears that this guy is casing places for a holiday robbery.
