Log in Issues ESPN+ TV Provider

I have the disney + bundle with Verizon - I'm also a Fios customer but that should be irrelevant to this issue. I can log in and can watch live sports (I'm assuming there's no free live streams on ESPN+ and they all have the ESPN+ logo on the thumbnails) but when I try to watch anything on my AppleTV or on catch up it asks me to connect my TV provider. I can click through to sign in with Verizon but it's not recognising my username & password?

Following the link though from my Disney+ account it asks me to login, I do so and then nothing happens, just back to the log in page again.

Has anyone found a solution to this? There's a number of threads online sort of related to this but not where there's the mismatch between live sports and catch up - I can watch live on my Apple TV too but it never asks for my TV provider. Is the ESPN+ deal with Verizon limited to live events only or is there an issue here?

Hey TutDon, as a sports fan myself, I really enjoy having ESPN+ as part of the Disney Bundle. I know I would want to be able to watch it on my TV as well. You mentioned using Apple TV; Were you using the ESPN+ App through Apple TV, or just trying to access it like a channel through your set-top box?

Thanks Joseph

Iโ€™ve been able to resolve it. For those who encounter this in the future - the ESPN app offers content from both ESPN+ and their dedicated channels for cable customers. Sure it would be significantly more user friendly if the ESPN app was separate to the ESPN+ app but so you constantly get reminded thereโ€™s more you can pay for this isnโ€™t going to happen.

If you have the Disney+ bundle only those thumbnails with the ESPN+ icon on will be available to you, most of what is on the ESPN app is not under the ESPN+ subscription and you will need to get a cable subscription as well.
