I've updated my mobile plan after being promised from a chat live agent that I would receive Loyalty Discount on my plan ($20 off) but of course got disconnected and I went back on to talk to another live agent and they said no such thing was stated; then the agent put a note on my account as top priority. 2 weeks later I receive the current bill and the amount is over $130, with no Loyalty Discount on sight; I went back to live agent and they said, no discount has been applied on my account- basically this was just a lie to make me upgrade from my mobile plan to this unlimited data plan, which I really don't need; but I only agreed to it because I was under an impression that I was going to get $20 off each month, since I've been a Verizon costumer for over 20 years. 

What other ways to contact Verizon to get my $20 loyalty discount. ?

There was no condition. I was inquiring about upgrading to an unlimited data plan and the rep at the time said I can get a discount of $20 since I’ve been with Verizon for so long , so she/he said I would get the loyalty discount but I never received it ;  now that I upgraded my plan and my bill is $20 more monthly than I expected to pay ; that’s just false advertisement;

Same false promises  consistently- along with regular price hikes and decreased service with never more than 1-2 bars service - with 14 years loyalty and never any phone or plan or age discounts for  14 years - why stay?

I used on-line chat to get help with one of our lines. While helping with that she conviced me to upgrade from the shared plan to unlimited welcome saying we qualified for a $25 discount on our 3 lines which would save us money.  We had to wait for the changes to the line she was helping us with originally before changing plans and supposedly put all those notes on our acct. When our line was finally fixed we let the new agent upgrade our plan. However, when I got my bill the discount was not there. I chatted online with yet another agent who told me the discount did not apply.  I guess this is what they do... they lie to get you to upgrade so they can get their bonus and you're left holding the bag and a higher bill than you started with. I hope this isn't the end. I have been a Verizon wireless costomer for probably 25 years.

It occurred back in December 2023; I was offered a loyalty discount and hence that’s why I upgraded it to the unlimited plan ; and of courses now it’s been 2 months since , I did not get the discount and am stuck with this higher price tag. I am going to have to switch to a different company if the loyalty discount isn’t offered as promised . Like the other post / reply said- the rep just wanted the customer to get an upgrade and then leave them hanging , then stuck with a higher plan, that’s just false advertising.

Same here for all - long term customer as of over 14 years and consistently promised a discount only to get the infamous we understand how frustrating apology with yet another no discount - just increases.

I ran into the same exact issue: I was strong armed into moving from a Play More plan to the new Unlimited plan for $4/month extra but was promised a $5/month loyalty discount to make it worth it. Well guess what: the loyalty discount never came through (it's been 5 months and multiple calls) and I lost my previous plan that included Disney+ for free. Terrible customer service and I am thinking about switching to US Mobile.
