The announcement generated by Google that Messenger+ will be shutting down by 11/7 then suggesting that we load Google Messages and replace Messenger +, is acting like a outside source separate from Verizon, could this be a phishing virus?.
1. No verbiage mentioning if Verizon is changing back to Messenger.
2. If you load their Google message "it will not Uninstall".
3. The message to users under messenger is a big white block with the warning about Messenger+ will not delete.
4, The warning is for Messenger+ not Messenger
Verizon will start to shut down the Message+ app on 10/2/24. The app will be fully discontinued on 11/7/24.
